Prosper has 10 pool companies listed here, and the websites of seven of them confirm that they build new pools: Foley Pools, Expertpools LLC, Tropix Pools & Outdoor Living, Exclusive Pool and Patio, Weisz Selection Outdoor Living Specialists, Pure Pool Solutions TX and Shellback Design. The other three mostly clean, repair or service pools, or their websites did not say what they build. Before you call, decide whether the pool is for a home or for a commercial property, because the list splits on that.
Home buyers should start with the gunite builders. Foley Pools builds water features, pool automation and outdoor living spaces, and lists gunite pools and spas. Weisz Selection Outdoor Living Specialists builds beach entries, water features and fire features, and lists gunite pools and spas.
For an HOA, apartment or business pool, the shortlist is shorter. Weisz Selection Outdoor Living Specialists and Pure Pool Solutions TX take commercial work, according to their websites. If you already have a pool and want it remodeled or resurfaced, Foley Pools, Tropix Pools & Outdoor Living, Exclusive Pool and Patio and Shellback Design list that work.
Check the service area next. Exclusive Pool and Patio and Hauk Custom Pools in Celina and Weisz Selection Outdoor Living Specialists in Gunter are listed here because those towns do not have a page of their own. The rest sit in or near Prosper, in Collin County. If your property is nearer to McKinney, Frisco, Plano, Lewisville or Anna, each has a page of its own.

Ask about soil and weather before you sign. North Texas sits on expansive clay that swells when it is wet and shrinks when it dries, which can crack a shell or a deck that was not engineered for it. Spring brings hail, and a hard freeze in winter can damage pumps and pipes, so ask how the builder protects the equipment.
Think about financing and warranty while you compare. Foley Pools, Exclusive Pool and Patio, Weisz Selection Outdoor Living Specialists and Shellback Design offer financing. Expertpools LLC and Weisz Selection Outdoor Living Specialists attach warranties, so ask each one what the warranty covers: structure, finish, equipment and workmanship. Foley Pools and Tropix Pools & Outdoor Living also remodel and resurface, so either can look after the pool after it is built.
Look at the track records next. Weisz Selection Outdoor Living Specialists has worked in the area since 1985 and is rated 4.7 from 54 reviews. Foley Pools is rated 4.5 from 612, Expertpools LLC 4.7 from 459 and Exclusive Pool and Patio 4.8 from 52.
Three companies on the page did not say on their websites whether they build: Hauk Custom Pools, Lonestar Pool & Spa Design and Splash Pools. Call and ask before you add them to your shortlist.
